Life for a Child Program continues to expand
The International Diabetes Federation Life for a Child Program has continued to expand over the last twelve months, and is closing in on the target set by the World Diabetes Day 2007 campaign to double the number of children supported by the Program. Some 931 children in 17 countries are currently being assisted.
Over the past year, Life for a Child has begun supporting children in Ecuador, Mali, Sudan, and Zimbabwe. The Program now helps children and adolescents in such places as Tombouctou (Mali), Potosi (Bolivia), Ganja (Azerbaijan) and Patan (Nepal).
